Muzaffarabad (POJK), Nov 7: Rawalakot, a prominent town of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK), tonight looked like a warzone as occupational forces of Pakistan unleashed heavy firing and shelling at various places, killing at least 2 persons and injuring 4 others.

Sounds of heavy gunfire and explosions continue to resonate in Rawalakot as the Pakistani forces are continuously raining bullets from assault rifles and machine guns in an attempt to end a 5-month-old mass agitation against Islamabad’s rule.

According to eye witnesses, a young girl and an elderly man were killed near the main bus terminal in Rawalakot in direct firing by the Pakistani forces.

An eye witness said snipers of the Pakistani military were targeting those going towards the D-chowk to participate in the sit-in which has been going on since June 7.

Pakistani forces are also targeting the protesters with drones to throw some dangerous chemicals.

“The situation is very grim and serious,” said a local while highlighting that the Pakistani forces were unsuccessfully trying their best to intimidate Kashmiris.

Meanwhile, at the dharna site, leaders of the agitation declared that the people of the occupied territories would not cow down despite extreme brutality unleashed by the Pakistani forces. (NVI)
