Poonch (NVI): Two soldiers were injured in an accidental mine blast during patrolling along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir late this evening, defence officials said.

The two soldiers from JAK Rifles were injured after they stepped accidentally over a mine. Rifleman Vikramjeet Singh and Luvpreet Singh received splinter injuries in the blast, they said.

Both the injured soldiers have been shifted to Udhampur Army Hospital in a chopper for treatment.

Accidental blasts were common in the forward areas along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.
