Shillong (NVI): Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria today congratulated the Eastern Air Command on 60 years of service and highlighted its operational importance.
The Air Chief also wrapped up his two-day visit to the Shillong-based command here and attended the annual Commanders’ Conference.
The Chief of Air Staff emphasised upon the need to concentrate on operational training and operational readiness tailored towards a quick and effective response to a rapidly changing threat scenario.
He also awarded trophies to the commanders for achieving excellence in the fields of Operations, Maintenance and Administration. Air Force Station Tezpur was awarded the trophy of ‘Best Flying Station – Pride of EAC’ and Air Force Station Laitkor Peak was declared the ‘Best Non-Flying Station’.
