New Delhi (NVI): Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria today visited Air Force Station Vadodara and reviewed the operational preparedness at the station that is one of the strategic airbases located in the South Western sector.
The Air Chief’s one-day visit to the bases in South Western sector comes amid the ongoing military stand-off with China in Eastern Ladakh and at some other points along LAC (Line of Actual Control), including in Arunachal Pradesh.
At AFS Vadodara, Bhadauria interacted with the local commanders and the personnel of the station. He urged them to continue discharging their duties with utmost sincerity and ensure a high sense of readiness, PIB’s Defence Wing said in a statement.
On his arrival, the CAS was received by Air Marshal SK Ghotia, PVSM, VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Air Command, as per the statement.
Before that, the Air Chief also visited AFS Deesa, where he was briefed about the plan of infrastructure developments of the base. He inaugurated the operational infrastructure activities for which government sanction was given in October 2020.
The developmental activities at strategically important airfield at Deesa include construction of runway and associated infrastructure, the Defence Wing statement said.
