Jammu,Oct 29 (NVI): The army on Tuesday said that three unidentified terrorists were killed during an ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
The encounter began on Monday morning after security forces chased terrorists who fired upon an Army ambulance, causing no injuries.
During the operation, one terrorist was killed, and two other were killed today while the search operation is going on
The Army in a statement said that after round the clock surveillance through out the night, an intense firefight unfolded today morning resulting in a significant victory for our forces.
“Relentless operations and tactical excellence has led to the elimination of three terrorists,” the army said, adding that the operation also saw the successful recovery of war-like stores, marking a critical step in maintaining security in the region.—(News Vibes of India)
