New Delhi (NVI): Home Minister Amit Shah today remembered nations’ freedom fighters and brave soldiers on the occasion of 74th Independence Day.
In a tweet, Shah saluted all the freedom fighters and said, “On the occasion of ‘Independence Day’, I offer my prayers at the feet of all the great fighters who have given freedom to the country with their valor and sacrifice, and also salute all the brave heroes who have won the unity of the country after independence, Surrendered for integrity and security,” he tweeted in Hindi.
‘स्वतंत्रता दिवस’ के अवसर पर मैं उन सभी महान सेनानियों के चरणों में कोटि-कोटि वंदन करता हूँ जिन्होंने अपने पराक्रम और बलिदान से देश को आजादी दिलाई और साथ ही उन सभी वीरों को भी नमन करता हूँ जिन्होंने आज़ादी के बाद देश की एकता, अखंडता और सुरक्षा के लिए अपना सर्वस्व अर्पण किया। pic.twitter.com/f6n3IkRU9W

He also expressed pride that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is realising the dream of an independent, strong and capable India as seen by freedom fighters.
In series of tweet, Shah wrote, “Today we are very proud that the dream of independent, strong and capable India dreamt by our freedom fighters is being brought to reality by PM Narendra Modi.”
आज हमें बहुत गर्व है कि जिस स्वतंत्र, सबल व समर्थ भारत का स्वप्न हमारे स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों ने देखा था उसको प्रधानमंत्री @narendramodi जी चरितार्थ कर रहें हैं।
एक ओर गरीब व वंचित वर्ग को घर, बिजली, स्वास्थ्य बीमा जैसी सुविधाएँ दी तो वहीं दूसरी ओर भारत को एक मजबूत राष्ट्र बनाया।

“On one side poor and deprived classes were given homes, electricity, health insurance while on the other, India was made a stronger nation,” he added.
Shah also urged people to take a pledge to fulfill the dream of a self-reliant India and make maximum contribution to take the country to new heights.
Earlier, PM Modi also extended his greetings to the people of the nation on the occasion.”Happy Independence Day to all fellow Indians. Jai Hind!” the Prime Minister tweeted.
