Anantnag,July 13 (NVI): Anantnag Police have taken decisive action against two religious clerics Mushtaq Ahmad Veeri and Abdul Rashid Dawoodi for using inflammatory language targeting a specific community.

As per the statement issued by Anantnag police to News Vibes of India—(NVI), the derogatory remarks made by the clerics were brought to the attention of the Anantnag Police, who promptly initiated proceedings under the relevant provisions of the law.

The clerics have been ‘bound down’ to prevent further inflammatory speech, police said. (Bound down in legal terms means that you are required to appear at a certain date before an investigating officer or a court)

Anantnag Police are committed to maintaining communal harmony and ensuring the safety of all citizens. We urge the public to report any instances of hate speech or inflammatory language to the authorities immediately.
