Army Apprehends PoJK Woman Near LoC In J&K’s Rajouri

Rajouri, Oct 3 (NVI) A Woman from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir was detained by the Army after she allegedly crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district, officials said on Saturday.

The Army patrol spotted the movement of the girl near the LoC in the Lam sector and detained her, they said.

The woman was identified as Samiya Azeem, daughter of Mohd Azeem and a resident of Khuiretta in PoJK, officials said.

After preliminary questioning, the troops handed her over to the police, they said.

During questioning by Nowshera police, the girl claimed that she had inadvertently crossed over to the Indian side of the LoC, officials said.

Further investigation is underway.—(NVI)
