Army raid on TTP hideout fails, several soldiers killed: Spokesman

Peshawar: Pakistan Army once again suffered a setback as its raid on a hideout of Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) failed today, resulting in several casualties of soldiers.

The Army launched a raid on the hideout of TTP in Madi village of Kalachi tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan district.

Intense gunfight ensued and after about  two and a half hours, several personnel of the Army were left deaf and injured, according to TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani.

The Mujahideen managed to escape safely, he said in a statement.
