New Delhi (NVI): Attempts are being made by Pakistan-based terror outfits to reactivate their camp at Balakot and restart religious and Jihadi indoctrination courses against India, the Government said.
It may be mentioned that the Indian Air Force on the early hours of February 26 bombed the biggest training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in Balakot. In the operation, a very large number of JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commanders and groups of jihadis who were being trained for fidayeen action were eliminated.
The Indian surgical air strike came in response to the February 14 terror attack on a CRFF convoy in Pulwama in which 40 personnel were martyred.
In a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy said that there are inputs that Pakistan-based terror outfits were making attempts to reactivate terror camp at Balakot and the government will take all necessary steps to protect the borders of the country.
“The government of India is committed to take all necessary steps to protect the borders of the country and maintain its integrity and sovereignty,” the Minister replied to a question by Ahmed Patel.
JeM led by Masood Azhar, has been active in Pakistan for the last two decades and has its headquarters in Bahawalpur, Pakistan.
