Balochistan: BLA kills Pakistan Army Major, 3 others in an attack

Quetta, Aug 6 (NVI) Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed to have eliminated 4 Pakistani Army personnel, including a Major, and injured 3 in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Noshki district of Balochistan.

BLA freedom fighters targeted a convoy of occupying Pakistani Army in the Gargina area of Noshki yesterday, based on intelligence provided by the Intelligence Wing ‘ZIRAB’, its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement.

In the operation, Major Muhammad Rizwan’s vehicle was blown up using remote-controlled IED, he said.

As a result, Major Rizwan, Naib Subedar Ameen and Lance Naik Younis were eliminated, while three personnel were seriously injured, the spokesman said.

“Baloch Liberation Army claims full responsibility for this attack,” Jeeyand Baloch said.

This is the 3rd Major-rank officer of the Pakistan army to be killed in Balochistan in the last 3 weeks, highlighting the ferocity that Baloch freedom fighters have attained. (NVI)
