Quetta, Oct 23 (NVI) Fighters of Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) continue to hold control over the Pakistani military camp in Gwadar in Balochistan more than 16 hours after a huge attack was launched which has resulted in the killing and wounding of several soldiers.
According to BLF spokesman Major Gwahram Baloch, the outfit’s fighters have been successfully repelling advance by reinforcements sent by the Pakistani military to help those entrapped inside the camp — Frontier Works Organisation (FWO).
Military drones have also been shot down, he said.
“The Balochistan Liberation Front’s Saddo Operational Battalion’s Operation Almas continues successfully even after more than sixteen hours. Our Jind-nadr fighters maintain their hold on the enemy’s main camp, while the occupying army faces retreat on every front,” the spokesman said in his latest statement.
“In an attempt to retake the main camp of the Frontier Works Organization, fresh army troops advancing in armored vehicles are being targeted by our fighters in repeated attacks. Several of military personnel have been killed, and the occupying army has been forced to fall back after suffering humiliation,” he said.
He added that the occupying Pakistani army continues its efforts to target the fighters’ positions with quadcopter drones but the alert fighters are responding in time, targeting and destroying the drones in the air.
The camp was attacked last evening, with a self-sacrificing bomber detonating his vehicle laden with explosives at the gate of the facility, which paved the way for dozens of his associates to storm the complex.
The attackers includes a female fighter named Almas Baloch, after whom the BLF has named the operation.
Details about the exact number of casualties are not known yet. (NVI)
