New Delhi (NVI): Bangladesh today saw the highest number of single day new cases and deaths. A whopping 3,117 new cases were reported, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 71,675.
The country also recorded a total of 45 deaths due to the novel coronavirus during this period, raising the death tally to 975, according to United News of Bangladesh.
So far, a total of 15,336 people have recovered from the deadly contagion, after 777 more patients made recovery.
Against the total number of detected cases, the recovery rate is 21.4 per cent and the mortality rate is 1.36 per cent in the country.
Altogether 7,021 policemen have been infected with coronavirus across the country so far.
