Batla House: Ariz Khan gets death penalty

New Delhi (NVI): A Delhi court today sentenced to death Indian Mujahideen terrorist Ariz Khan, convicted in killing a Delhi Police inspector in the 2008 Batla House encounter case.

While pronouncing the judgement, the court called the case ‘rarest of the rare’. The court also imposed total fine of Rs 11 lakh on Ariz Khan.

Arif Khan was convicted in the case last week of killing Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma, along with his accomplices during the Batla House encounter in September 2008.

The Special Cell of Delhi Police had arrested Khan in February 2018. He was on the run for 10 years. Khan, an Indian Mujahideen terrorist, is also an accused in 2008 blasts.
