New Delhi (NVI): Counting of votes for Bihar Assembly elections began this morning amid Covid-19 restrictions. As per the trends, NDA has moved ahead of the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, crossing the half-way mark of 122 seats needed to secure the majority of seats in Bihar Assembly.
However, there is still time for final results, as only 11 per cent votes have been counted till 11.30 am.
In early leads, Tejashwi Yadav was surging ahead, but later trends showed that Nitish Kumar is likely to be voted to power for a fourth straight term. Of 243 seats, the JDU contested 122 seats, while the BJP contested 121 seats.
