New Delhi (NVI): A day after BJP MP Pragya Thakur made a controversial statement on Nathuram Godse, the BJP has come down heavily on her by initiating disciplinary action and barred her from attending its parliamentary party meeting for the entire session of the Parliament.
The action was taken by the BJP working president JP Nadda. Meanwhile reports quoting JP Nadda here said that, Pragya Thakur will be removed from the consultative committee of defence further adding that BJP did not support her statement and ideology.
The Lok Sabha MP from Bhopal during the House proceedings had praised Nathuram Godse.
Meanwhile Defence Minister Rajnath in the Lok Sabha said that leave aside talking of Nathuram Godse as patriot, BJP condemns the idea of even the very thought of him being a patriot.
“Mahatma Gandhi is a role model for us today and will remain forever,” he said.
