Jammu,Oct 14(NVI) : Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief Ravinder Raina today said that the party will soon begin the process of selecting the Leader of Opposition in the newly-formed J&K Assembly.
After honoring the newly-elected BJP MLAs in Jammu, Raina said that meetings would be held under the guidance of central observers to choose the opposition leader. Tarun Chugh, BJP’s national general secretary and J&K in-charge, confirmed that discussions with the new MLAs and other party leaders would take place, with a report being submitted to the central leadership for a final decision.
This announcement follows the BJP’s strong showing in the recent Assembly elections, where the party won 29 seats, its best result so far in the Union Territory. Raina thanked the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their support, emphasizing the party’s significant progress compared to the 2014 elections.(News Vibes of India)
