New Delhi (NVI): Bollywood celebrities including Vidya Balan and Arbaaz Khan attended a winter festival at popular ski resort in Gulmarg of Jammu and Kashmir today, a comeback of film industry to the valley.
The three-day Gulmarg winter festival was organised by the Indian Army and Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Department for promotion of Gulmarg as a tourist and sports destination, according to the media reports.
The event, organised from February 6-8, was conducted to provide a platform to the local youth to showcase their talents.
Actors from the industry including Arbaaz Khan, Vidya Balana and producer Siddharth Roy Kapoor attended the event and interacted with the youth and supported the Indian Army’s efforts at the festival.
The event witnessed activities like skiing, snowmobile, ATV race and snow cycling besides cultural performances by renowned artists of Kashmir.
On the first day, actor Arbaaz Khan spent time with Indian Army soldiers and sang famous song of Border movie “Sandeshe Aate Hain”, the reports added.
This event was conducted after two years and is a great way to announce the re-opening of Kashmir to the world.
