Srinagar, Mar 28 (NVI):Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), Praveen Kumar, visited the BSF Kashmir Frontier from March 26 to 28 to review the security scenario and operational preparedness along the Line of Control, officials said.
During the visit, Kumar interacted with officers, local commanders and troops, and also visited forward posts along the LoC to assess the ground situation and operational readiness.
He addressed personnel during a Prahari Sammelan, where he discussed welfare concerns and lauded the troops for their professionalism, dedication and steadfast service while operating in extreme weather and challenging terrain.
The BSF chief also joined commandos in their weekly 10-kilometre run in Srinagar, highlighting endurance, discipline and camaraderie among the force.
Officials said the DG held interactions with senior Army officers and other key stakeholders and reaffirmed the collective commitment towards seamless coordination and strengthening national security.—(NVI)
