Jammu, Jan 01(NVI): The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel stationed at the International Border (IB) in the RS Pura sector of Jammu opened fire early this morning after detecting suspicious movement originating from the Pakistani side.

According to officials, the alert BSF sentry noticed unusual activity and immediately took action to deter any potential infiltration. Over a dozen rounds were fired to neutralize the perceived threat.

Following the firing incident, BSF troops launched a comprehensive search operation in the forward areas to ensure the border’s security. Officials confirmed that the situation is under control and the operation is ongoing to rule out any breach of security.

Incidents like these underscore the constant vigilance required to safeguard the sensitive border areas in Jammu and Kashmir, which remain vulnerable to cross-border infiltration attempts.(News Vibes of India)
