Samba, May 1, 2024: A Pakistani intruder was shot dead by the Border Security Force (BSF) along the International Border (IB) in Jammu’s Samba district, on Wednesday evening. The confrontation occurred when alert BSF troops from the 125th Battalion observed suspicious movement of an individual crossing the IB from the Pakistani side into the Samba area.

Upon noticing the intruder’s presence, BSF personnel promptly challenged him. However, despite warnings, the individual persisted in advancing towards the border fencing. Faced with the intruder’s refusal to comply with directives, BSF troops resorted to firing, ultimately resulting in his death.

BSF personnel stationed along the IB are always ready to thwart any attempts of infiltration or unauthorized border crossings. Further details regarding the identity and motives of the deceased intruder are awaited as investigations into the matter continue.
