Srinagar, Aug 24 (NVI): The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) has announced a cash reward of Rs: 3 lakh to whosoever furnishes information about a wanted Pakistan-based terrorist commander associated with the proscribed Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit.
“The wanted terrorist, who also goes by the aliases Sumama, Illyas, and Babar, is reportedly involved in the radicalization and recruitment of youth from Jammu and Kashmir into terrorist ranks. He has been accused of using social media and encrypted messaging platforms for connecting with the potential recruits, while the locals in Kashmir are used as couriers for funding terrorist activities in the region”, the statement issued to the News Vibes of India—(NVI) reads.
The case has been registered under FIR No. 02/2024 under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Indian Penal Code.
Further, the authorities appealed to the general public to provide any kind of information regarding the terrorist with the assurance that the identity of the informers will be kept confidential. Any lead can be communicated to CIK Kashmir. (News Vibes of India)
