New Delhi (NVI): Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) will be organising a webinar on the occasion of 51st Earth Day on April 22 on “Decarbonization and the #EnergyTransition – Assessing Pathways and Viability”.
The webinar is being jointly organised by EESL and CDP India, a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts.
“With India’s policy impetus, the country has reached a turning point in its decarbonisation journey and must chart a course of action that will enable a successful transition of the energy system,” read the agenda statement issued jointly by CESL and CDP.
“In this context, this discussion will explore a fundamental question: What does the energy transition mean for India and how does India engage with the international community as part of a common responsibility towards mitigating climate change?” read the statement.
Alok Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Power will be delivering the keynote address on Earth Day at the webinar. Eminent business leader Mahendra Singhi will also be one of the key speakers at the webinar.
