Jammu, Sep 29 (NVI) : A Chinese-made live grenade was recovered from a river near the Sora Bridge in the Thannamandi area of Rajouri district on Sunday, officials said here.
An official told NVI that after hearing the information about the recovery of chinese-made live grenade authorities were immediately alerted, who rushed to the site.
He said, the grenade was safely defused by a bomb disposal squad, preventing any potential threat to the surrounding area.
Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation to determine how the grenade ended up in the river. (News Vibes of India)
