Srinagar, Nov 22 (NVI): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, accompanied by Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the CM, today inaugurated the CM’s Public Services and Outreach Office, marking a significant step toward transparent, citizen-centric governance.
The office, designed as a single-window platform, aims to enhance grievance redressal, enable informed decision-making through data-driven monitoring, and foster strategic communication.
The grievance redressal system under this office, named Raabta (meaning ‘connection’), serves as a bridge between citizens and the government. By combining robust digital systems with on-the-ground engagement, Raabta ensures timely service delivery and responsive governance. During his inaugural visit, the Chief Minister toured the facility, reviewed its operations, and interacted with officers.
Commending the initiative, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of citizen engagement and instructed officers to prioritize timely grievance resolution and proactive communication with the public.
The Chief Minister was briefed that the office will adopt a hybrid communication approach, including an online grievance portal, a dedicated helpline, and periodic in-person interactive sessions to ensure effective outreach to all citizens.
This innovative initiative highlights the government’s commitment to fostering public trust and creating a seamless interface between the administration and the people. (News Vibes of India)
