Srinagar, Oct 15 (NVI): The Congress leadership has appointed G.A. Mir as the new Leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) in Jammu and Kashmir.
This decision follows a unanimous resolution from the Members of the Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir, which authorized the Congress President to nominate a new CLP leader.
An official letter from K.C. Venugopal, General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), addressed to Jammu and Kashmir Congress President Tariq Hameed Karra, confirmed that the central leadership in New Delhi has entrusted G.A. Mir with this important responsibility.
The Jammu and Kashmir Congress had previously indicated that the nomination of the CLP leader would be determined by the party’s central leadership. (News Vibes of India)
