New Delhi (NVI): The total number of positive coronavirus cases around the world have surpassed 2.97 million with the number of deaths exceeding the 2 lakh mark today, according to John Hopkins University tally.
The lockdown restrictions will be eased in countries like Australia, New Zealand, Iran and Spain as daily cases and death slow.
Meanwhile, Italy has announced that it will ease its 2-month old lockdown controls from May 4.
In addition to this, more than 54,000 people have died in the United States, representing more than a quarter of all deaths worldwide. The total number of positive cases in the US has also crossed 9,65,000.
