New Delhi (NVI): The global count of coronavirus cases has reached more than 124.1 million, with over 2,733,000 deaths reported. Over 70.4 million patients have been cured of the deadly contagion, according to Johns Hopkins University data.
In the US, the total number of coronavirus infection has reached to more than 29.9 million, while the total number of COVID-19 fatalities have surpassed 5,43,000 in the country.
Brazil suffered a record 3,251 Covid-19 deaths on Tuesday. Brazil’s coronavirus cases have crossed the 12.1 million-mark and stand at 12,130,019 while the number of deaths has surged past 2,98,000.
Meanwhile, Norway is introducing new national measures to contain the pandemic, including a ban on the public serving of alcohol, and would postpone the introduction of a plan to reopen society.
Furthermore, Dutch government is to extend its lockdown measures by three weeks until 20 April due to rising numbers of Covid-19 infections and hospital admissions, prime minister Mark Rutte said.
Turkey has registered 26,182 new coronavirus cases, the highest daily number since mid-December, health ministry data showed, as cases continued to rise amid an easing in measures to restrict infections this month. The death toll rose by 138 to 30,316.
