New Delhi (NVI): More than 101.4 million people around the world have been confirmed to have the coronavirus, while the death toll has crossed 2,188,000, according to the Johns Hopkins University tally. Over 56 million patients have recovered from the deadly disease globally.
The number of coronavirus infections in the US have surpassed 25.7 million, while the number of fatalities caused due to the deadly contagion have exceeded 4,32,000 in the country.
Brazil’s coronavirus cases have crossed the 9 million-mark and stands at 9,058,687 while the number of deaths have surged past 2,21,000.
Meanwhile, Mexico’s health ministry reported 18,670 new confirmed cases of coronavirus infections and 1,506 additional fatalities, bringing the total to 1,825,519 cases and 155,145 deaths.
French health authorities reported 23,770 new coronavirus infections over the previous 24 hours on Thursday, down from 26,916 on Wednesday.
