New Delhi (NVI): The global count of coronavirus cases has reached more than 130.1 million, with over 2,836,000 deaths reported. Over 73.7 million patients have been cured of the deadly contagion, according to Johns Hopkins University data.
In the US, the total number of coronavirus infection has reached to more than 30.6 million, while the total number of COVID-19 fatalities have surpassed 5,54,000 in the country.
Brazil’s coronavirus cases have crossed the 12.9 million-mark and stand at 12,910,082 while the number of deaths has surged past 3,28,000.
Furthermore, France reported that 5,254 people were in intensive care units with Covid-19 on Friday, an increase of 145 people in one day and the highest daily increase in five months.
Mexico recorded 3,089 new confirmed cases of Covid-19, bringing the country’s total to 2,247,357 infections. It also reported 190 more fatalities, bringing the total to 203,854 deaths, according to data from the health ministry.
Meanwhile, Turkey witnessed 42,308 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, health ministry data showed on Friday, the highest level since the beginning of the pandemic.
