New Delhi (NVI): The global count of coronavirus cases has reached more than 131.7 million, with over 2,859,000 deaths reported. Over 74.7 million patients have been cured of the deadly contagion, according to Johns Hopkins University data.
Brazil’s coronavirus cases have crossed the 13 million-mark and stand at 13,013,601 while the number of deaths has surged past 3,32,000.
In the US, the total number of coronavirus infection has reached to more than 30.7 million, while the total number of COVID-19 fatalities have surpassed 5,55,000 in the country.
Furthermore, in France, the number of people in intensive care units with Covid rose by 92 to 5,433 on Monday.
The infection rate in Spain has risen again to an average of 163.4 per 100,000 over the last fortnight, as it reported 85 more deaths.
Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed it will move to the second stage of its lockdown lifting from next week, as non-essential shops, pub gardens and hairdressers will reopen.
In addition to this, Mexico’s government reported another 252 more deaths on Monday, taking the total number of deaths to 204,399 in the country.
