New Delhi: India registered 1,233 fresh Covid cases and 31 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this, the cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 5,21,101.

The country’s active caseload has declined to 14,704 after 707 days, constituting 0.03% of the total positive cases.

Nearly 1,876 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,24,87,410, it said.

The country’s daily positivity rate now stands at 0.20% and weekly positivity rate at 0.25%.

Yesterday, the country registered 1,259 fresh Covid cases and 35 fatalities in 24 hours.

The country registered 1,270 fresh Covid cases and 31 fatalities during the previous 24 hours.

On Sunday morning, the country registered 1,421 fresh cases and 149 fatalities in 24 hours.

A day prior to that, nearly 1,660 fresh cases were registered across the country.
