COVID-19: 475 doctors infected in Bangladesh so far

New Delhi (NVI): A total of 475 doctors in Bangladesh have so far been infected with coronavirus while treating Covid-19 patients at both government and private hospitals, according to the Bangladesh Doctors Foundation (BDF).

Of the total infected doctors, 316 are from government hospitals while 122 are attached with private hospitals and 37 doctors are shown in another category.

“Among the total, 35 doctors were infected in the last 24 hours,” Nirupam Das, the chief administrator of the foundation said.

In addition to this, tThe total number of deaths from coronavirus continues to rise in Bangladesh as 2 more people have died in the last 24 hours, taking the total casualties in the country to 170, according to United News of Bangladesh.

Besides, a whopping 571 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported during this period, raising the number of such cases in the country to 8,231.
