New Delhi (NVI): As the 13th day of the nationwide lockdown in India came to an end, the death toll due to coronavirus rose to 111, while total confirmed cases reached 4,281, according to Union Health Ministry.
As per the latest data available with the Ministry, there are 3,851 active cases in the country and 318 cured or discharged.
In another update, the Health Ministry today came up with the gender distribution of COVID-19 cases as on April 6, 9 pm. According to the analysis, 76 per cent positive cases have been reported in males, while 24 per cent positive cases have been reported in females.
Majority of the cases in India have been linked to the religious gathering at Nizamuddin, links to which have been traced across 17 states so far.
Apart from this, Maharashtra leads the country in the maximum number of cases, with Tamil Nadu at second spot and Delhi is at third.
Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases across the globe crossed the 1.3 million mark as the global death toll topped 70,000.
