New Delhi: India witnessed a decline in Covid numbers, with 3,615 fresh Covid cases being registered in the last 24 hours.
The country’s active caseload stood at 40,979 constituting 0.09% of the total Covid cases, the Health Ministry said.
The cumulative death toll due to the pandemic since 2020 rose to 5,28,584.
The recovery rate is currently at 98.72%, with 4,972 patients being recovered in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
With this the cumulative recoveries across the country have reached 4,40,09,525, it said.
The daily positivity rate stands at 1.12% and the weekly positivity rate is at 1.55%, the Ministry said.
With the administration of 13,87,533 Covid vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the country’s cumulative vaccination coverage has reached 217.96 crores.
