New Delhi: Covid numbers in India continue to show an increasing trend, with 8,329 new cases being registered during the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
At least 10 deaths due to Covid were also registered during this period, raising the total number of fatalities due to the pandemic to 5,24, 757.
The number of active cases stood at 40,370
Yesterday, the government reported 7,584 fresh Covid cases and 24 deaths in a span of 24 hours.
On Thursday, the country reported 7,240 cases and 8 fatalities in 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country registered 5,233 cases and 7 fatalities in 24 hours.
On Tuesday last, the country recorded 3,714 fresh Covid cases and 7 deaths in 24 hours.
The country registered 4,518 new Covid cases and 9 deaths in 24 hours, a day earlier.
On Sunday, the country registered 4,270 cases in 24 hours.
