New Delhi: India witnessed a decline in single-day fatalities, with six new deaths being registered in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said today.
The country registered 2,745 fresh Covid cases in a span of 24 hours yesterday, it said.
With this, the cumulative death toll across the country has reached 5,24,636.
The country’s active caseload currently stands at 18,386, the Ministry said.

Nearly 2,236 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours, taking cumulative recoveries to 4,26,17,810, it said.
Yesterday, the country registered 2,338 new Covid cases and 19 deaths in 24 hours.
The country registered 2,706 new cases in the last 24 hours, a day earlier.

A day prior to that, the country recorded 2,828 new Covid cases and 14 deaths in a span of 24 hours.
On Saturday last, the country registered 2,685 fresh Covid cases and 33 fatalities in 24 hours.
A day earlier, the country reported registration of 2,710 new Covid cases and 14 deaths during a span of 24 hours.
