New Delhi: Nearly 6,093 fresh Covid cases and 18 fatalities have been registered across the country in the last 24 hours, Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the pandemic since 2020 rose to 5,28,121.
The country’s active caseload stood at 49,636 constituting 0.11% of the total Covid cases, it said.
The recovery rate is currently at 98.7%, with 6,768 patients being recovered in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
With this the cumulative recoveries across the country have reached 4,39,06,972, it said.
The daily positivity rate stands at 1.93% and the weekly positivity rate is at 1.88%, the Ministry said.
With the administration of 28,09,189 Covid vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the country’s cumulative vaccination coverage has reached 214.55 crores.
Yesterday, the country registered 6,395 fresh Covid cases and 19 fatalities in 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the government reported registration of 5,379 new cases and 27 deaths during the preceding 24 hours.
