New Delhi: India witnessed a dip in single-day Covid cases, with 15,528 fresh cases being registered in the last 24 hours, against 16,935 cases reported during the preceding 24 hours.
The country registered 25 fatalities in a day yesterday, taking the cumulative death toll to 5,25,785, Union Health Ministry said today.
The active caseload stood at 1,43,654 constituting 0.33% of the total Covid cases.

The recovery rate is currently at 98.47%, with 16,113 patients being recovered in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
With this the cumulative recoveries across the country have reached 4,31,13,623, it said.
The country’s daily positivity rate stands at 3.32% and the weekly positivity rate is at 4.57%.

Nearly, 4,68,350 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, taking the overall tally to 87.01 crores.
Yesterday, the country registered 16,935 fresh Covid cases and 51 fatalities in 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country registered 20,528 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours.
