New Delhi: India witnessed an increase in Covid numbers, with 5,233 cases being registered in the last 24 hours, against 3,714 recorded during the same duration the previous day.
The country also registered 7 fatalities during the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll across the country has reached 5,24,715 and the country’s active cases stand at 28,857.
Nearly 3,345 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours, taking cumulative recoveries to 4,26,36,710, it said.

Yesterday, the country recorded 3,714 fresh Covid cases and 7 deaths in 24 hours.
A day earlier, the country registered 4,518 new Covid cases and 9 deaths in 24 hours.
On Sunday, the country registered 4,270 cases in 24 hours.

A day prior to that, the country registered 3,962 fresh Covid cases and 26 deaths in 24 hours.
On Friday last, the country registered 4,041 cases and 10 fatalities in 24 hours.
