Covid update: India registers slight dip in single-day cases

New Delhi: India registered 2,338 new Covid cases and 19 deaths in a span of 24 hours yesterday, the Health Ministry said today.

With this, the cumulative death toll across the country has reached 5,24,630.

The country’s active caseload currently stands at 17,883, the Ministry said.

Nearly 2,134 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours, taking cumulative recoveries to 4,26,15,574, it said.

Yesterday, the country registered 2,706 new cases in the last 24 hours.

A day prior to that, the country recorded 2,828 new Covid cases and 14 deaths in a span of 24 hours.

On Saturday last, the country registered 2,685 fresh Covid cases and 33 fatalities in 24 hours.

A day earlier, the country reported registration of 2,710 new Covid cases and 14 deaths during a span of 24 hours.

On Thursday last, the country registered 2,628 fresh Covid cases and 18 fatalities within the span of 24 hours.

The country registered an increase of 2,124 cases and 17 fatalities in 24 hours, a day earlier.
