New Delhi: India witnessed a substantial jump in single day Covid cases, with 2,364 fresh cases and 10 deaths being registered in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll across the country reached 5,24,303.
The active cases stood at 15,419 while 2,549 patients recovered from the virus during this period, it said.

The country’s daily positivity rate has gone up to 0.50% and the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.55%.
Yesterday, the country registered 1,829 new Coronavirus cases and 33 deaths in 24 hours.
The country registered 1,569 fresh Covid cases and 19 deaths in 24 hours during the previous 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country registered 2,202 new cases against 2,487 recorded during the same duration the previous day.
On Sunday, the country reported 2,487 Covid cases and 13 fatalities registered in the preceding 24 hours.
On Saturday morning, the country reported 2,858 new Covid cases and 11 deaths recorded during the previous 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country reported 2,841 new Coronavirus cases and nine deaths in the preceding 24 hours.
