New Delhi: India witnessed an increase in single-day Covid numbers, with 13,313 fresh Covid cases and 38 fatalities being registered in the last 24 hours, Union Health Ministry said this morning.
The active caseload stood at 83,990, constituting 0.19% of the total Covid cases.
With 38 more fatalities, the total death toll due to the pandemic since 2020 rose to 5,24,941.

The recovery rate is currently at 98.61%, with 10,972 patients being recovered in the last 24 hours.
With this the cumulative recoveries across the country have reached 4,27,36,027, it said.
The country’s daily positivity rate stands at 2.03% and the weekly positivity rate is at 2.81%.
Yesterday, the country registered 12,249 new cases in 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country registered 9,923 fresh Covid cases and 17 fatalities in 24 hours.
On Monday, the country registered 12,781 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours.
