Covid update: India sees marginal rise in single-day cases

New Delhi: India witnessed a further increase in single-day Covid cases, with 4,041 cases being registered in the last 24 hours, against 3,712 cases recorded during the previous day.

The country registered 10 fatalities within a span of 24 hours yesterday, the Health Ministry said today.

With this, the cumulative death toll across the country has reached 5,24,651.

The country’s active caseload currently stands at 21,177, the Ministry said.

Nearly 2,363 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours, taking cumulative recoveries to 4,26,22,757, it said.

Yesterday, the country registered 3,712 new Covid cases in 24 hours.

A day prior to that, the country registered 2,338 new Covid cases and 19 deaths in 24 hours.

The country registered 2,706 new cases in the last 24 hours, a day earlier.

A day prior to that, the country recorded 2,828 new Covid cases and 14 deaths in a span of 24 hours.

On Saturday last, the country registered 2,685 fresh Covid cases and 33 fatalities in 24 hours.
