Covid update: India‘s single day cases drop to 2,202

New Delhi: India registered further decline in Covid cases, with 2,202 new cases being registered in the last 24 hours, against 2,487 recorded during the same duration the previous day.

The country also registered 27 fatalities during the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said.

With this, the cumulative death toll across the country has reached 5,24,241 and the country’s active cases stand at 17,317.

Nearly 2,550 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,25,82,243, it said.

The country’s daily positivity rate has gone up to 0.74% and the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.59%.

Yesterday, the country registered 2,487 Covid cases and 13 fatalities in 24 hours.

On Saturday morning, the country registered 2,858 new Covid cases and 11 deaths during 24 hours yesterday.

A day prior to that, the country registered 2,841 new Coronavirus cases and nine deaths in 24 hours.

On Thursday morning, the country registered 2,827 new Coronavirus cases and 24 deaths in 24 hours.

During the previous day, the country recorded 2,897 cases and 54 deaths within 24 hours.

On Tuesday morning, the country registered 2,288 new Covid cases and 10 deaths during 24 hours.
