Shopian, Mar 28 (NVI): A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel died after he was found unconscious in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Gayan Chand alias Ashok Kumar, a resident of Arazi Samba in Jammu, who was posted at the CRPF headquarters in Shopian.
They said the personnel suddenly fell unconscious and was immediately rushed to District Hospital Shopian for medical treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings under relevant sections of law.(NVI)
