Srinagar,Aug 13(NVI): Tiranga Yatra & Har Ghar Tiranga campaign ahead of Independence Day are in full bloom across length & breadth of Kashmir Valley. No of function’s, cultural events and rallies are being organized by Civil administration, Defense and Police.
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Tuesday took out a Tiranga rally from Dalgate to Nishat area in Srinagar to commemorate the 78th Independence Day.
Officials said that hundreds of CRPF men carrying national flags in their hands marched on their motor-bikes from Dalgate to Brein, Nishat. All along the way Tiranga rally was greeted with great enthusiasm by locals of the area. The rally concluded peacefully.
Talking to reporters, DIG CRPF R K Singh said that CRPF is celebrating the 78th Independence Day and today’s program is part of the celebrations.“We are committed to keep the peace intact in Kashmir and ready to contribute and play our role towards peace and prosperity in the Valley,” he said.
