Defence Minister Calls Urgent Meeting Amid Rising Terror Incidents in J&K

New Delhi, Aug 14 (NVI):- In response to the escalating terror-related incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has convened a high-level meeting at the South Block.

The meeting, currently underway, is focused on addressing the security situation in the region and devising strategies to curb the surge in terrorist activities.

The meeting is being attended by key figures in India’s national security apparatus.

National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, and the heads of other security-related agencies are present to discuss the gravity of the situation.

The Defence Secretary and the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) are also participating in this crucial discussion.

This meeting comes at a time when there has been a noticeable rise in terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, posing significant challenges to the security forces operating in the region.

The agenda includes evaluating the current security measures, discussing intelligence inputs, and planning coordinated efforts to strengthen security in the area.
