New Delhi (NVI): The air quality in Delhi remained in the “very poor” category today with people getting no respite for the next two days.
According to System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), “The Air Quality Index” (AQI) is likely to deteriorate to the middle-end of the very poor category by tonight and deteriorate to the higher end of very poor category by tomorrow.
It has predicted that AQI is likely to touch the “severe” category for some regions of Delhi on December 6 but the overall AQI will still remain in very poor category till Friday.
The affected areas are Dhirpur with PM2.5 of 308, Delhi University recorded PM2.5 of 311, at IGI Airport T3 the PM2.5 was 306. Other affected areas were IIT, Mathura Road and Chandini Chowk.
The Air Quality Index in the neighbouring Noida too remained in the “very poor” category with PM2.5 of 320, SAFAR added.
