Doda, Aug 28 (NVI): Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Doda Kishtwar Ramban Range DKR, Shri Shridhar Patil-IPS, visited Doda today to review the district’s security situation, election preparedness, and the arrangements for the upcoming Kailash Yatra in Bhaderwah.
In a statement issued, to the News Vibes of India—(NVI) said during his visit, DIG Shridhar Patil chaired a meeting at the District Headquarters in Doda. The meeting was attended by senior police officials, including SSP Doda, Shri Mohd Aslam-IPS, CO IR-5th Battalion Doda, Shri Ghulam Jeelani Wani, SP Headquarters Doda, Shri Shakeel Rehman Bhat, SP Operations Doda, Shri Sunil Kumar Kesar, and other officers from the District Police Doda.
The meeting primarily focused on the upcoming elections, with discussions centered on ensuring adequate accommodation arrangements for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) companies that will be deployed in the district. The DIG instructed the officers to make necessary arrangements to ensure the comfortable stay of CAPF personnel.
In addition to election preparedness, the security arrangements for the upcoming Kailash Yatra in Bhaderwah were also reviewed. The officers were directed to implement a foolproof security plan to ensure the smooth conduct of the yatra.
Later in the day, DIG Shridhar Patil visited various CAPF camping sites in the district. He inspected the arrangements for accommodation and basic amenities for the CAPF companies and issued necessary directions on the spot to ensure that all requirements were met at the camping locations.
